Altruism is a virtue that is seldom seen in the modern world. As society advances, people become more disconnected from each other and less concerned for the welfare of others. Since St. Michael is on the southwestern edge of the island, the memorial will be only a mile away from the beach. The small garden will be filled with an assortment of tropical flowers, though mainly consisting of red and white rose bushes. In the center of the garden, there will be a rectangular, spouting fountain. The walls and tiles of the fountain will be made of dark, gold-speckled marble. The fountain would be small in size, only two feet tall and five-and-a-half feet wide. Lastly, on the edge of the fountain, a plaque will read, “Dedicated to Robyn Rihanna Fenty for her outstanding work as a humanitarian”. After the money is collected from the gala, the fountain and garden are planned to be completed by the spring season of 2019. By choosing to rent a space for the gala for only a few thousands of dollars, this gives the attendees a chance to follow Rihanna’s charitable impact by not only donating to her memorial but giving back to the less fortunate, as well. This decision will both raise the necessary funds and inspire people to start making their own contributions, making this well-deserved memorial suitable for Rihanna and realistic for the
