He then becomes a carpenter and makes some furniture for himself, he becomes a farmer planting and growing crops in the rainy season, he weaved baskets to store his supplies, he makes pottery, he tames goats and gets meat, milk, butter and cheese from them, and he bakes bread. He explores the island, and finds that there is land close by. Sadly, in that part of the world the land would have certainly be inhabited by some savages that kill and eat humans. Until one morning he saw smoke from the shore and sees that the savages were having another bloody feast. Soon after the savages got into their canoes and rowed away. For the next year, Robinson thinks about escaping from the island, to escape from the savages. He wants somebody to talk to and somebody who would rescue him. He was desperate to get away from the island. He thought about it throughout the day and in the night. He dreamed that he rescued one of the prisoners the savage had brought to the island, and that the prisoner became Robinson's faithful servant and would help him escape to the mainland. This dream became so real, that Robinson decided that his only way to escape was to rescue one of the prisoners the savages brought to the island. In the 25th year, the cannibals finally arrive at the island again. Robinson spies the savages and when he sees that one of their prisoners escaped, it was like his dream was coming true. Robinson then decides to help him, so he goes where he is and signals him to come to him, but the native was too frightened to move. Then the savages appear behind the native, but Robinson kills them. The native walks toward Robinson and kneels on the ground to show his thankfulness to him for saving his life.
