This idea requires a great director and this film sure had one in Chris Columbus, who is experienced in this area directing many famous films throughout his illustrious career. He did an outstanding job in transforming the idea from his head into the final product of Mrs. Doubtfire. The main character, Robin Williams, did an extraordinary job as the lead role in this film playing Daniel Hillard as well as Mrs. Doubtfire herself. His ability to play the vastly different roles the way he did was special is something that very few actors are capable of. Unable to settle their differences this time Miranda asks for a divorce, which hit Daniel extremely hard as he did not expect this. Without a job, a house or his family Daniel was left in a tough spot that was tough to rebound from. He wanted nothing more than to be with his three children that he cared so much for. After he found out that he had next to no custody of his children, Daniel tried to find any way he could turn his life around as quickly as he could. He explored many options but once he found out that his kids needed a housekeeper to look after them he got an interesting idea.
