I had the pleasure to meet Roberto, in 2012, during his employment at People of Color Network (POCN). At that time, I was the clinical supervisor for the children’s department at La Frontera-EMPACT-Suicide Prevention Center (EMPACT-SPC). As you may know, POCN oversaw high needs case management (HNCM) services for EMPACT-SPC and other behavioral health provider agencies that offered children’s services. I had a close relationship, therefore, with many of the HNCM/Supervisors/Directors employed at POCN. Even before meeting Roberto, it was obvious that his peers held him in high respect. His excellent reputation in the behavioral health community alludes to mastery in intrapersonal and interpersonal intelligence.
