Robert Young Character Analysis

“Fathers Knows Best” is one of the most popular television shows during (1954-1963). Robert Young is one of the main important characters that plays the father in the sitcom. Robert’s character is very funny, loving, family oriented, business man, intelligent, and professional. Jane Wyatt is the perfect mother in the sitcom. She’s stunningly gorgeous, gives great advice, patient, family oriented, and a housewife. Her role is to do the cleaning, prepare meals, babysit, and stay at home mom. Lauren Chapman plays the little young sweet daughter, that’s lovely, energetic, always leaving mistakes for daddy to fix, and very affectionate. Billy Gray is the only son out of the three. I found him always seeking advice, a little demanding, and hard …show more content…
The Bundy’s wasn’t lovable, caring, kind hearted to each other or other people. The parents are trying to survive the miserable middle class and the father (Al) is always broke because he gives the kids (Bud & Kelly) and his wife (Peggy) all his money every time he gets a check. The neighbors (Marcy & Steve Rhoades) are sort of best friends with the Bundy’s parents. The Bundy’s is always putting up a competition with the Rhoades residence. Marcy Rhoades and Al Bundy hates each other with a passion. They can’t get along and always making jokes upon each other. Marcy plays an aggressive character in the TV show. She’s the boss of the relationship with her husband Steve, while her husband plays the character of a sweet man that does whatever his wife says. Mrs. Peggy Bundy is somewhat in control in situations in her family. Peggy character is the red big hair mother that’s very persuasive, lazy, not a housewife nor career mom, gives bad advice, and likes to spend all her husband’s money. The daughter Kelly in the sitcom is one of my favorite characters that plays a dumb blonde head beautiful teenager. Even though she sets a bad example for young teenagers, I found her character quite interesting and funny. On the other hand her brother Bud character is extremely rude, not so smart, chases women, and has a dirty mouth in language. Bud is also the least favorite in the …show more content…
The TV sitcom was about a single young mother (Lorelai Gilmore) raising her daughter (Rory Gilmore) that’s only 16 years apart in a small town of Connecticut. They act more like best friends than family and share the same interest in certain things like music. Lorelai character plays a strong, independent, protected mother. Rory Gilmore is the opinionated daughter that speaks her mind and makes tough decisions in her teenage life. “Gilmore girls” Season 5 Episode 22, was a great show to watch. The mother had to get her daughter Rory out of jail because of an issue that occurred with Rory’s boyfriend father telling her she will never be a good journalist. Rory behavior became very reckless and was sent off to jail. Rory wasn’t happy and now want to drop out of Yale school for a while. The mother Lorelai ran off to her parents for help to see if they can talk some sense into Rory to stay in college. That didn’t go well because they ended up choosing Rory side and want her to move in with them for a while until Rory decides what she wants to do with her life. The Lorelai was so unhappy with her parents disagreeing with her knowing that they’re taking away some authority from her being a concern good mother to her daughter. Lorelai is trying to give her the daughter the best and don’t want her making mistakes that she went

The audience is shown Pleasantville’s change in values through Ross’ use of allusions to novels; in particular Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, art works, like those of Pablo Picasso, and 1950’s sitcoms, Father Knows Best.…

Influence of Parents There are many themes in the film “Parenthood”, however, one in particular stands above all the others: no matter who you are or where you come from, your family has an enormous impact on you and your future, for better or worse. At one point, I thought they over exaggerated the situation but quickly realized that this is the reality.…
