Robert Morris University Scholarship Essay

My purpose for applying for this scholarship is to receive additional financial support to aid my in my studies at Robert Morris University. The scholarship would allow me to buy supplies for school like books. The money would be beneficial to me because any aid that I receive would be less money that I have out of pocket and would allow me to pursue my goal of not only undergraduate school, but also graduate school. My future plans include graduating from Union City Area High School on June 7th and I then intend on attending Robert Morris University near Pittsburgh, PA. While at RMU, I plan on studying nursing for four years in order to obtain my bachelor’s degree in nursing. After graduating from RMU, I plan on getting a job in either the Erie or Pittsburgh area. After working for around two years as a nurse I plan on returning to school to get my master’s degree in nursing. …show more content…
After graduating from my small hometown where I have lived for my entire life, I will embark on the greatest journey on my life. I will be moving to Pittsburgh on August 25th where I will spend the next four years of my life. While at college I will spend my time studying, participating in extracurricular activities like clubs and organizations, as well as working in order to begin to pay off my impending student debt. I intend on moving back to Union City during the summer to continue working at McDonald’s. However, if I receive an internship at a hospital around Pittsburgh I will then plan on staying in the Pittsburgh area for the summer in order to get more nursing experience. I also will consider the option of going on one of the numerous mission trips offered by Robert Morris to go to a foreign country, for instance, Nicaragua and or China, in which I would have the opportunity to practice medicine.
