to try to work with “Mr. Johnathan Miller”, but he is a very hard person to work with. We have had numerous scheduled appointments in which majority of them were canceled by Mr. Miller or cut short because he had me meet him at the circuit courthouse in Elkton, MD on the days he had trials. He then would reschedule with me, “Promising we’d have more time to go over my case”, but again the same thing would occur, or “He would cancel and make an excuse why he could not show up for our meetings.” This has been a common theme when it comes to dealing with Mr. Miller. This reflection will be in response to the field experience that was completed on the 12th of November, 2015 by Matthew Daykin. For my High School field experience, I attended Palmetto Ridge High School and observed both Mrs. Zacher’s ninth grade English class and Mrs. Reid’s ninth grade Science and Math classes. Palmetto Ridge High School (A.K.A. “The Ridge”) is a grade 9-12 school located in Naples, Florida. The Ridge has a total of 1,865 students; 46.33% of the students are listed as identifying as White, 7.29% are listed as identifying as Black, 40.8% of the students identify as Hispanic, 1.39% of the students identify as Asian, 2.63% identify as Indian, 1.29% identify as Multi-Racial, while only 0.27% identify as Hawaiian or Pacific Islander (“Palmetto Ridge High (PRH) School”, 2015). The health goal that I decided to accomplish was to run a mile in 8 minutes or less by December 1st. This particular health goal was chosen for the reason that I felt my cardiovascular endurance could use improvement in comparison to my sprinting speed. It was a weak point that I want to address because when sprinting, I could not maintain my speed for long periods of time or distances. In addition, I plan to join the track team in the spring and hope to prepare myself for it. I made two action plans to alternate between for each week from research on what was an effective workout to increase my cardiovascular endurance.…
