A serial killer is a person who commits a series of murders often with no apparent motive and typically following a characteristic predictable behavior pattern. According to the FBI a serial killer is somebody who murders over three or more people within a month with an emotional cooling off period in between. Robert Lee Yates born on May 27, 1952 is an American serial killer from Washington. From the years 1996 to 1998 Yates murder over 13 women. Oh 13 woman were prostitutes working on E Sprague Avenue in a town in Washington. He’s currently on death row at the Washington State penitentiary. Yates grew up in Oak Harbor a town in Washington. His first killing was on July 13th, 1975. He’s last one on October 13, 1990. Yeah it was arrested on April 18, 2000. Jennifer Joseph was a victim he murdered and got arrested for. A search warrant was issued on Yates, white convertible. Police found leftover blood in the car that was shortly link to Jennifer Joseph and DNA from previous murders which linked towards 12 or the murders that he committed. In the year of 2000 everything went bad for yates. Everything went downhill. Yeah it was charged with first-degree murder for 12 victims in an attempted murder first 13th victim who marriage to escape and survive after abuse from yates. After his plea, guilty without value size of 408 years in prison. Without getting out on parole he did this to avoid the death penalty. One year later, in 2001 Yates was charged with two additional murders that we’re not linked to his case originally. So, instead of adding years to his sentence Yates was put on death row. Yates was put on death row by with all injection on October 3, 2002. In the year of 2013 yates made his attorney file a habeas corpus petition in federal district court, saying that Yates is mentally ill and was ill at the time during all the murders so it’s not completely his fault for all the victims he had killed. All the judges a people seeing over the court room, the jury, the judge, all knew this was a long shot. Even said by one of the officers involved in the case, “this is a long shot”. To this day yet remains on death row. He’s put you through and sadly still being looked through thoroughly before final decision was made by the court and the Jury. They do not know what is going to happen yet with Yates. Yates effort to not be killed with yet again was refused by the Jury and sent back to prison to await death row.
