Hey there, did you ever think that rocket science would make it this far, I personally didn't so that's why I decided to change it.
Background info (birthplace, birthdate, any relevant childhood info., relevant relationship info., etc.): I was Born October 5th 1882 in Worcester, Massachusetts, to Fannie Louise Hoyle and Nahum Danford Goddard. As a child I Became interested In Space after reading, The War of The Worlds by H.G Wells. I Got a Doctorate from Clark University in 1908. I Joined Princeton University in 1912. I wedded Esther Christine Kisk in 1924.
What led up to the main event?:xx
In 1907 I attracted attention to the public after I tried to fire off a powdered rocket in the basement of the physics building at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts
My initial study of rockets came at my own expense, I designed and fired my first powdered rocket in 1915.
At that time powdered rockets were still problematic, so I …show more content…
Main Event Details:
On March 16th, 1926 in a field in Auburn, Massachusetts I broke history! I had worked for years and had dreamt as a kid that this would ever happen. I set up my rocket counted 3.....2.....1..... BOOM nothing happened I thought I had failed, and as I walked to grab the rocket BLASTOFF the rocket shot up in the air about 40 feet. I was rejoiced that my rocket had set off and what I had accomplished.
I, Robert Goddard had just broke the barrier between space exploration and modern rocketry, no one had ever launched a liquid-fueled rocket and I was the first. I immediately thought of what else I could do to improve the rocket. After watching test footage and making improvements I continued to make a large amount of improvements. The more improvements I made the higher my rockets soared. I became noticeable for many things related to my rockets and rocketry
