Robert Goddard Argumentative Essay

Would if technology never came about in the world? We had people coming up with their own ideas to make products we use every day in our lives. As Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.” Just as Robert Goddard and Neil Armstrong show, there is a first for everything, and we need leaders to show us the way through the impossible. Robert Goddard was an engineer who came up with the world’s first liquid-fueled rocket. People make jokes when something is hard saying, “it’s not rocket science,” when that is exactly what Robert Goddard was doing. No one had ever imagined that one day we would go to the moon or send rovers to Mars, and it all started with Robert. Some people thought he was crazy for making something so absurd. They believed that there was no way it would ever work because they had never seen it done before. There is a first for everything. Robert Goddard was the man that began bringing us the moon, Mars, and out of our galaxy. Because Robert Goddard made a liquid-fueled rocket, imagination sprang up all through America. Soon NASA came with ideas no one had ever thought to be an option. One of these ideas was Neil Armstrong going to the moon. They helped make the impossible possible. When people doubted them and said that they could never achieve what they were working towards, they didn’t listen and pushed through to be the first man to create the liquid-fueled rocket, or the first man on the moon, or the first to bring a man-made object out of our galaxy. There is a first for everything, and no one can expect to follow a path already laid out for them. We have to create our own ideas and concepts to find out more about this mysterious world we live
