Robert Frost The Road Not Taken Analysis

In Robert Frost’s poem, “The Road Not Taken” is a poem about this traveler came across two pathways. The poem shows a conspiracy about which road is less traveled. One road is more plain, the other one, they are both covered in virginal leaves. It implies that during the harvest dawn, neither road looked shabby or damaged, crude to how the speaker will tell his story years from now. The speaker has to choose which road to take and whatever road he choose to take he has to stick with his decision and never look back. But the speaker made up his mind and took a path to take. In taking that path, he gave up his chance to choose the other road. Symbolically, this means that the speaker is echoing on the choices he makes throughout his life and how they are going to affect his life later on. This quote means that, he decided to take the road that everybody does not take, because he wants to experience the challenges it is along the way. The speaker chooses to take the road less traveled because he is up for the courses it will have and has no second thought about the choices he made. This is compared to everyday life in our society, because everybody is raised differently and the roads they take are either by choice or they have to, because not everybody has the “easy life” since we all live in an economic society where life gets harder and harder as we continue growing up. People take different roads seeking fulfillment and happiness because they want their lives to be less complicated. Just because they are not on your road, does not mean they have gotten lost, whatever choice they choose, they stick with it and there is no one stopping them on whatever choice they make throughout
