Robert Frost Research Paper

Robert Frost was born on March 26, 1874, in San Francisco, California. He stayed in California for the first twelve years of his life until his father, William Frost Jr., died of tuberculosis. After his father had died, his mother moved their family to Lawrence, Massachusetts to live with his grandparents. Frost attended Lawrence High School where he met his future wife, Elinor. Frost attended Dartmouth for a few months after high school before returning home to help support his family. He married Elinor in 1895, and not long after, in 1896, they had their first child, Elliot. Frost attempted to obtain a degree again in 1897 at Harvard, but he dropped out once again, this time due to health concerns. After he left Harvard, he purchased a farm in New Hampshire. He worked the farm for nine years, while also writing early in the mornings and creating many of the poems that became famous later on. In 1912, Frost and his family sailed across the Atlantic to Great Britain, where he became close acquaintances with Edward Thomas, T.E. Hulme, and Ezra Pound.
