Robby just rounded the first mark in first and an eray horns blasted as they cheered for him. Of course, I was still bad at Robby for what he did to me earlier that morning. It was the X boat WYA on Lac Labelle, we were just getting ready to go out sailing on that cold morning. The wind was light and frisky, and all of us sailors knew that they would have to get a good start to give themselves a chance at winning the race. I was just getting onto my coach-boat, so that I could raise my sails and go out sailing. Robby was right next to me, and he thought it would be funny to shove me into the cold morning water, I hit the water with a bang and went underwater. My first thought was who the heck pushed me into the lake. When I surfaced Robby was just standing there laughing in my face, what Robby didn’t think about was that he just gave me a huge disadvantage. Now that my sails were all wet, because they fell into the water with me, this means that now I would go slower because the wind …show more content…
Now I kind of felt pressured because I was in 3rd and now I fell back to 11th, and I really was disappointed, but I put that behind me and sailed harder than I ever have before. I tacked on every shift and outsmarted every boat near me, and now I was in 4th, with a quarter of the leg left to go. Robby and the boat behind him just finished, and Robby won, “Dang it.”, I mumbled with a huff. The boat in 3rd was just in front of me, and I knew I could pass him, “I just have to out sail him.”, I said to myself, and I did. I put every little bit of energy and brainpower I had into out sailing him, and right at the finish, I stuck the bow of my boat up into the finish line and beat the third place boat. I high-fived my crew with a “Woo-Hoo!” and listened to the horns around me, Robby was right up ahead of me and congratulated
