The first main difference between us is our sense of adventure. Dahl went completely unprepared in the Royal Air Force and fought battles everyday. He was not scared of scorpions roaming around the desert and took pictures of many things in nature. I, however, am quite afraid of doing things such as that. Dahl was cool under pressure and was practical in thinking of a solution to a life-threatening problem, He could take down German airplanes without completely panicking. I am also very practical when thinking through problems. Although I am practical, I am not very calm under pressure. I tend to panic and would not respond well in many situations that Dahl finds himself in. That is how we are alike and different in our response to problems.
The final point that Dahl and I are extremely similar in is family connections. Dahl had a strong connection to his family, and wrote letters to his mom periodically throughout the book Going Solo. He talks about how much he missed them and how relieved he was when he returned home. I also love my family with all of my heart, and would be homesick if I had to
leave for three years without seeing them. That is how Dahl and I are similar in family
