“The Road Not Taken,” by Robert Frost is set to remind people of the dynamics of life. For an example, the decision made to use someone’s idea to create an essay, and the lack of understanding that doing so would lead to possible plagiarism could cause a problem. The risk and the consequences of the choice made transpire. Reading the first few sections can allow a person to believe that the author is in the woods and the season is fall. “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,” (Frost, 1999) the “yellow wood” mentioned possibly is not referring to the season but the type of tree, to allow the reader to know the area the poem is taking place. Frost states in the poem, “In leaves no step had trodden black,” this can give the reader an idea that the season is fall because of the leaves falling from the tree, but it does not provide a clear understanding of the period or actual place. The section is the poem that states, “Because it was grassy and wanted wear,” (Frost, 1999) can give the reader an idea of what the area looks like around the roads. People sometimes use the atmosphere around them to determine the choice for the future. For instance, a college campus is groomed and a happy environment. That institution would probably have a better chance of being picked regardless of the academic rating because of its image.
