Josiah, I liked the way you structured your introduction to your meaningful place, by juxtaposing it against conventionally sought tourist attractions and by painting a quaint, picturesque image using the details along Reesor Road. As such, the Robert Frost allusion fittingly contributes to the tranquil atmosphere with which Reesor Road is portrayed. A poignant point in your essay was when you mentioned that your family entrusting the Toyota for your utility resembles a rite of passage. How might this shift in faith as you enter emerging adulthood relate to parental expectations of your obligations as a young adult?…

I assisted the Granby Public Schools Facilities Department / Custodial Staff in helping to clean various schools over the duration of the 2015 summer vacation. During my time there, I helped to meet a variety of daily cleaning needs around both the middle school and the high school; cleaning lockers, sweeping floors, setting up computers, delivering packages, and the like. The most valuable lesson I learned all the while was that there is no right way to do a job as long as it gets done. All things considered, I would hope to be given the opportunity to return to work again in the future; it was a great experience and I'm thankful to have been a part of…

Summer of 2014 the end of my sophomore year I decided it was finally time to become more mature and start working. Working meant so much more to me than just making money it gave me freedom , it molded me into who I am today, but it also was about building relationships with individuals I have never met before. When growing up I loved going to the local YMCA and just hanging out baking in the sun and indulging in the water all day. Last couple months of sophomore year I got CPR certified, oxygen certified, lifeguard certified, and most importantly swim instructor certified. When choosing where to work it was very simple I knew the YMCA is where I belonged.…
