Although risperidone-induced priapism is a condition that is not often found in children, due to the increasing trend of prescribing risperidone as treatment of many behavioral problems in present day, physicians should monitoring sexual side effects. The pediatric cases may presented with less severe symptom when compare to adult or adolescent. Discontinuation risperidone and replace with other drug having potent to bind less with alpha adrenergic receptor, such as aripiprazole, are recommended.
