People use their cell phone everywhere, during crossing the street, and in the car when they are driving without thinking of the risk that they are involved, when they use their cell phone. The problem is that people when they use their cell phone, they have background about how it is dangerous situation to use it during driving. But they always make reasons to use it, or they say it is only one minute. There is no risk to use the cell phone. In fact that Cell phone use while driving one of the recent dangers that lead to accidents and injuries around the world. According to CDC (2014) “Each day in the United States, more than 9 people are killed and more than 1,153 people are injured in crashes that are reported to involve a distracted …show more content…
If we thinking about the number of the deaths and injured people in one year around the world, by using the one example that prevent from CDC ,we will know that the percentage is really high since in one day in untied state as one country is 9 persons died and 1,153 injured . Texting or talking in cell phone take the attention of the person and make him or her not focusing in the road. More specific, in psychology it is said that the person in normal try to focus to one thing and ignore other things and as soon as he or she try to focus in one than one things he or she will lose the control of attention and focus. Texting while driving are linked to drinking because both behavior are lead to the same things which is car accident for example, Redelmeier and Tibshirani (1997) reported “epidemiological evidence suggesting that “the relative risk [of being in a traffic accident while using a cell phone] is similar to the hazard associated with driving with a blood alcohol level at the legal limit” (p. 456). It is always said that drinking while driving is dangerous but know a days we side that cell phone use during driving is one of the most reason to be in the risk of car accident and injuries. Some people talking, other texting and some of them they just check if there is any things new in some social median app. These different use have different effect in the way the car accident of the injury happened. According insurance institute for high way safety, ( 2015 ) “ Although the risk of a near crash or crash was 17 percent higher when the driver was interacting with a cellphone, much of this was attributable to reaching for, answering, or dialing a cellphone, which nearly tripled the risk of a near crash or crash. Most cellphone use consisted of talking or listening, which was not associated with an increased rate of near crashes or crashes. Texting was not prevalent when the data were collected and was not observed. Another study examined the risk of a rear-end crash or near crash associated with cellphone use using data from 3,147 drivers who were continuously monitored for 1-2 years. The risk of a rear-end crash or near crash did not increase when drivers were talking or listening on a cellphone but was more than 5 times higher when drivers were texting.” Compering texting and talking in the cell phone we could see that texting has higher risk of the car accident and injury by 5 time than the talking in the phone. The reason that texting has higher risk of getting car accident is because of the attention of the person who use the cell phone will all go to the cell phone and the person will not be focus
