Psychological wellness or mental health is an integral part of an individual 's ability to lead a satisfying life, including the capacity to frame and look after relationships, to study, work or seek after leisure interests, and to settle on everyday choices about educational, employment, housing or different decisions. Etiological Risk Factors
There are many causative factors to cause mental health problems. Rutter and Moffitt and Capsi (2006) first attempted to track the changing mental health causation conception.
Changing concept of mental health causative risk factors:-
• 1950 's and 1960 's- They focus mainly on the environment if any mental illness. Mainly it’s to understand mental illness of early childhood socialization and adversity.
• 1960 's to 1980 's- the knowledge of genetics play role in mental illness. During this period they conducted lot of studies related to genetics, is the proof of they understand the importance of Heredity.
• 1980 's to 1990 's- Dominate the genetic determinism.
• 1990 's- Develop a more appreciation development of mental disorder based cause detection. They understood that mental illness not only have one cause has multiple risk factors like genes, environmental conditions etc. So interaction between genes and environmental condition are necessary to explain the risk factors of mental illness. An increased pervasiveness of psychiatric co morbidities, especially tension and depressive issue, has been accounted for in patients with this syndrome. IBS may expand the risk of following depressive issue, stress, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Researcher chose patients who were determined to have IBS caused by gastroenteritis, as indicated by the information in the Taiwan National Health Insurance Research Database. The researcher did population based cohort study on this. The IBS cohort comprised of 4689 patients, and the comparison cohort involved 18756 coordinated control patients without IBS. Finally, researcher came with results like IBS may increase the risk of psychological disorders. Clinicians should pay more preventive plan to psychiatric co morbidities in IBS patients. Older age period is the absolute most vital indicator for cognitive decline and dementia. This age period have most possible risk factor of social isolation and they take out from the working place.
