Now that you are aware of the Risk Assessment assignment that is due Week 4, I would like you to each take a moment and remember an event you recently attended. The event could have been a concert, a theatrical performance of some sort (large or small scale), an evening out at a nightclub, etc. Think about your social life and think of one particular occasion that you could conduct a brief risk assessment for us as a practice run to the assignment.
• Where were you? What type of an event was it?
• What major risks stick out to you?
• What precautions should have been taken by the event and facility staff and were not?
• What suggestions do you have to make a safer environment for all in attendance?
The event I will use for this week’s discussion board post is a tour of some Charlotte breweries; for the purpose of protecting the company that offers this tour I will leave the company name out of this post. The tour gave the patrons behind-the scenes access to three breweries, samples of the beer produced at each brewery, snacks, water, and transportation. When conducting tours a company will be tasked with a certain amount of responsibility for their customers. The risks that stick out while attending

However, the extent of the brewery tour company’s concerns is stated in the company’s description of their services. The tour company recommend that all patrons arrange safe and sober (taxicab or designated driver) post tour transportation back to your home or hotel. Thus, the company is acknowledged the possible risk associated with non-sober driving, so they placed that statement in the description to protect themselves. However, the company would be better served by having each customer sign a waiver, which will relieve the company of any responsibility for customers after they depart the

Upon determining what should be in the intranet, what risk is the organization willing to tolerate should be tackled. An assessment of the privacy controls and security controls can be determined by using NIST Special Publication 800-53A: Assessing Security and Privacy Controls in Federal Information Systems and Organizations, Building Effective Assessment Plans as a guide along with NIST Special Publication 800-30, Rev-1, Guide for Conducting Risk Assessments (NIST SP 30-1, 800-53A). To truly understand this publication is prohibitive to fully explain; however, this step is critical and will impact your intranet dramatically. To simplify: you cannot always have the risk metric you desired because by doing so would make your system so slow and unusable you could not accomplish much.…

Decisions for Year 3 were more challenging, I think this is so because I now have a total understanding of the simulation. I found that it is difficult to make all the ideal choices because my budget may not allow it. The organizational stakeholders decision I selected initiate a full audit of the supply chain of all K-Tai, Inc.’s consumer electronic products. I feel that the issue presented was worthy of investigation and that the best place to begin would be an audit to confirm if the company was currently using any of the conflict materials.…

    Let’s say that we have calculated effectiveness (assuming PD=0,8; PA=0,9; PI=0,6; PN=0,4) and it equals to 0,8 x 0,9 x 0,6 x 0,4 =0,1728. Remember, the conditional risk formula? Assuming again, that probability of attack and relative consequences both equal 1,0, conditional risk R= 1,0 x (1 – 0,1728) x 1,0 =…

The third risk that was show was environmental risk. To start the participants were thrown in too many dangerous locations and weather conditions. This risk is seen many times in the film especially during the point in the trip where Vic disappears from the group and leave the boys to fend for themselves during a dangerous thunder storm in the middle of the night. To help minimize this risk I would make sure to check the weather conditions before taking the trip and I would not take my participant into environment they are not prepared…

Children need to have opportunities to take some risks so that they are able to assess and manage risks as they grow into adulthood. If a child’s experiences of risk assessment and risk taking are limited, they will have difficulty in doing this. If a more balanced approach is taken and children are given more independence, then they are more likely to grow in confidence. They should be encouraged to think about risks for themselves and act…

I needed to be healthy to prosper. On a scale of 1-5 I feel like this decision was at a 4 difficulty and was tough to maintain. The reason I graded it as a level 4 score was due to the fact that I love food and that bond that had with it, had to be terminated for the greater good. This meant I couldn’t just go to the refrigerator and eat/drink whatever I wanted, I would’ve had to decide appropriate times to eat and then look at the labels of the food that I’m eating to find the healthiest one. The process I went through to making this decision was influenced by my future goals in college.…

Risk assessments must be carried out to eliminate or reduce risks with any findings recorded. Any arrangements made must be monitored and reviewed by appointed person's with the training, knowledge and skills to carry out these arrangements. It is the appointed person's (Health and Safety Co-ordinator) responsibility to ensure that everyone within the setting is made aware of, read and signed the changed or new policies and procedures. People within the work setting must be made aware of where of the Health and Safety Policy is kept, up to date training must be provided and copies of risk assessments must be given when necessary, for example when going on school trips, all adults on the trip must read the risk assessment specifies such as the minibus for travelling in, wearing visors, appointed first aiders, trip and group leaders and toilet trips. This ensures the staff are aware of risks and hazards, how to deal with them efficiently and who to report…

No one in this world wants to lose a family member to a drunk driver. Drinking and driving should not happen in the United States. Bars should take more actions, people need to plan ahead of time before going out and learn to limit themselves on how many drinks and money spent or the people should start a program for people just turning twenty one on drinking and driving and the consequences. Most people do not realize the great risk of drunk driving to ones life or others. Take more time to look at driving under the influence and making the streets safer.…

Quantitative risk analysis is the one which follows the Qualitative analysis, and gives a numerical priority rating to project risks (PMI, 2009). Based on the PMBOK (PMI, 2013) quantitative risk analysis “… is the process of numerically analyzing the effect of identified risks on overall project objectives (p. 333).” This is also a process for the PM and project team to get risk data to support making decisions, which can help to reduce project uncertainties (PMI, 2013, p. 333). Based on the prior researchers’ statement, the Quantitative Risk Analysis is more complicate and even the most difficult part within risk management since it requires statistical and mathematical methods to be operated (Purnus & Bodea, 2013, p. 145). Inputs of this…
