Risen Savior Church

This past Sunday I had the pleasure of attending the Risen Savior Church which is an Anglican denomination. This church does not establish a certain religion but focuses on the Apostles and old Christian Fathers teachings. Going to this church, I did not know what to expect because I had never reached out to a church that was not in my comfort zone. This church was different from my church because it was based off an opening and closing rite, along with laid back music. The Church I attend has up to date songs, that are upbeat with a bigger population of people. This Church visit was eye opening in showing that no matter what way someone praises God, we are all in the long run doing the same thing. No matter what Church someone attends, they are attending it to become close to God and build a loving relationship with the one who sacrificed it all.
During my visit, I analyzed the people, piety, time, place, prayers, preaching, music, and scripture. The people were welcoming, caring, well-dressed, and of more than one religion. When I got there, everyone made a gesture to say hello and get to know my name, which shows that the people are carrying about newcomers in their Church. The piety of the church seemed to be revolved

When I mean spectacular, I mean that the people were friendly and it was nice seeing a different point of view in the world of Christianity, Personally, the way the service was ordered was not for me because I was not raised in a Church that had a Father figure running the Church or the recitation of the Creeds. I do like having upbeat music to be able to worship to and prayers. Honestly, I was not appealed by the Church because it is not the type of worship I grew up around, but that does not mean that someone else could not like it. The people of the Risen Savior Church were wonderful, and I do believe that is a strong part of their Church because they are welcoming and

Spanish Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 1. What happened during the services? I arrived at the church a few minutes prior to the service and I was greatly surprised by how well attended the service was. There were dozens of families in a spectrum of Sunday best and work-stained denim jeans and nearly every person wore a yellow and white vest with a red cross embroidered on the lapel. At the entrance there was a small dipping well and although there was no water in it at the moment, (most likely due to the sizeable crowd) people still placed their fingers in the dry well and crossed themselves before entering the chapel and before sitting, they would cross themselves again.…

During the first few months I went I found it to be quite boring and unintriguing for me. I had to stay by my brother at all times because I didn’t know anybody else there; making the whole ordeal even more soporific but I had no other choice. A lot of people around me didn’t really look interested, and or didn’t care about what was going on. Some were even on their phones during the mass, which is incredibly disrespectful.…

What I really enjoyed was the atmosphere. The lights were dimmed so people could feel more comfortable and the music consisted of a good balance of upbeat music, and slow music. Songs were sung and people worshiped for about forty-five minutes. This was a very moving experience. Glancing into the audience, it was evident that everyone was engaged in the worship.…

Before I stepped into St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, I thought that attending Catholic Mass would not be all that different from the Protestant services I grew up attending. However, I felt out of place as soon as I walked through the front doors. Everything felt foreign to me; from the way the building was set up, to the way people behaved during the service, to the way everyone exited the church. As an outsider, I felt lost and almost lonely as the masses around me moved in unison and I was left trying to follow along as best I could. I did not feel that Mass was welcome and open as the services of the Protestant churches that I am familiar with.…

I’ve attended in the past had many informal elements in their liturgy, designed to make new-comers feel a little less awkward and part of the church family.
