In document one, it explains when Lucretia gets raped, that kings are not welcome in the government anymore and that they aren't loyal and they should not have them. Augustus was said to have a very difficult time during his rule, which is explained the document four. It is said that his temper caused him to do many things he regretted later in life that effected his society. Through his time of reign, he had began to gain higher ranks and granted with more power. In document five, it states that his cruelty and how he treated citizens in Rome during this time. His attitude towards his peers was not positive in some eyes, but other it was said to be different. In document nine, a peer during his time by the name of Velleius Paterculus had spoken greatly of Augustus. He explains how when Augustus returned home to his city, he had brought fortune that not even God could have brought to man. Both document nine and ten explain how people viewed him as a God for his virtues and success rather then a devil who hurt his empire.
