Personally, I am an introvert but when around people I am close with I am suddenly part ofa extrovert; a talker. Sophomore year I really expressed that which often got me into a heap of trouble; for expressing myself. This TED Talk by Susan Cain might have to be my favorite because it relates to me very much. It was so insightful, because I am an INTROVERT. When a teacher has group assignments, I typically want to work alone. Because I believe being independent is essential in life and people shouldn’t always rely on others. We rely too much on others especially in school during group work. Lying can be often perceived as manipulation, it's a form of deception. There are many reasons why people lie such as not to hurt others, egotism, evilness, or even a big revelation protecting ourselves. We usually begin lying at a young age, like four to five years of age which is when we gain the use of the power of language.Typically kids don’t lie maliciously just something small to get out of trouble or even to get that new toy that they desire. When children start young they often don’t know when to refrain from doing so. Personally, I don’t lie as much, because I know typically it leads to conflict.

This is a great message of positivity. Although he speaks fast, his speech is inspiring not because of the content but the way he is promoting behind all of his words. Hearing Shawn Achor talk has lead me to reinforce my everyday thinking. I want to start writing “3 Grateful things a day”, this can lead to a much more positive outlook on life. Grit can also be known as hard work, to be successful may have led from constant trials; but there is something that provokes and captivates people to keep going. Sooner or later a celebration is amongst you; because hard work & dedication pays off. To me failure has occurred but I don't let it define me, I must persevere. Teachers, mentors, the public should praise a peer struggling through solving a problem rather than praising them for the end result. This will show a sense of accomplishment as they go through issues. Thus an understanding is brought to attention that the struggle is part of the success. I personally have gone above & beyond, felt like giving up multiple times, but I still have yet I am still here, with a lot left to
