The increase of jobs near factories meant that people needed to be closer to their jobs. More urban cities strarded to grow rapidly and population also rapidly grew. Some lucky people found great jobs in the city but others were less fortunate. The less fortunate had to live in horrible conditions overcrowded homes. Children had to work in unsafe factories starting at age five, where they were at risk for bad diseases and death. Women also had a change in their life they worked in textile factories and spent less time at the house. This was also a change for the middle class they enjoyed some of the luxuries of the upper class and they had some access to some luxury. Like the act of the Factory act of 1833 which limited hours and age of children that meant that children could only work until they were nine and there would be limited hours that children from nine through eighteen could work. Another major act was the Factory act of 1847 which restricted children to working only ten hours a day and this also for the people that worked in the textile mills. This next act was for the people that worked for the mines it was called the Mines act of 1842 this was put in place so that women and children under nine could not be hired to work for mines it was illegal to do that now.
All of these acts were put into place because they were noticing that workers were dying off easily and that people were getting tired of working hard and barely receiving money. The last major act was the Public health act of 1848 which helped food factories and overseas shipment be cleaner. If the Industrial Revolution would have ceased to exist there would probably be no trains or cars or planes or huge factories or boats. The Industrial revolution sparked new technologies and new advances to the work force and changed a lot of factors in today’s society within the social, political and economic reasoning.
