The love story, “Romeo and Juliet”, written by William Shakespeare, was created in 1597. Since then, over 18 film versions have been made, and is by far one of the most well-known plays of all time. Considering that it’s over 400 years old and still very popular, many would say it’s one of the best tragic romances of all time.
