Homelessness is widespread, especially in cities and states that have a low employment rate. A lot are substance abusers that have only the drug or alcohol on their minds. While various programs are available to the homeless, Lots don’t qualify or do not have the resources to stay involved in the programs. Programs like Catholic charities and shelters that offer services to the homeless. There are ways to combat this problem for human service professionals alongside service workers. The effects on professionals on a national scale and a global scale begins with funds. For example, the financial cost is costly since a percentage of homeless have no money.
