I personally have read many stories on how something as simple as a smile from a complete stranger has prevent someone from doing something as grisly as killing themselves. The affect one action can have on another person is tremendous. Actions also tend to create a vast rippling effect. Studies have been conducted to research the affect of a smile from a complete stranger. It has been shown that a simple smile improves someone's mood. All it takes is one person, one single person to set off a chain reaction and slowly better peoples lives. One smile, holding the door open, helping someone pick up their things, or even carrying groceries for someone can help make someone's day better. When someone is happier they are more likely to do an act of kindness or generosity for someone else, which would in turn make the next person more likely to and so on. People don’t fully understand the concept that the smallest of their actions can set waves into motion. We are a lot more influential and powerful then we know. Instead of ignoring this power why don’t we use it for something productive, that would better the lives of not only us but those around
