I was stationed in Alaska the last 6 years for the Air Force. AK doesn't have many bands that tour it. A cute girl got stationed there as well and we hung out primarily because we loved Brand New and snowboarding. We flew to NY to visit and check out NJ's Bamboozle Festival. I deployed after that, and whej J returned we got tix for Riot Fest 2013. The last day there, I got severe strep throat and she nursed me to 100%. We got married 2 weeks later. We are both still serving, and we use the excuse of seeing our favorite bands play to travel. We've seen Brand New in 11 different states, and will be seeing them for the 2nd time this year at Riot Fest. One day when we first starting dating, she asked me what animal I remind her of.
