Identify and Explain risk and protective factors that you see that might affect the development of your infant. Be sure to include Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological Model in you analysis. One of the direct influences on Riley that may negatively effect her development is the fact that her father and I are not married. This may be due to conflict between us which may lead to family separation. Another direct influence which is a risk factor is that her father and I both work which may take away crucial time we could spend with her to help her reach the developmental goals she should be reaching at each age. Locate credible resources that exist in your community to help support optimal development of your infant for this risk or protective factor. By us not being married it puts strain on our daughter if we were to have custody issues or if we were to see other people because it would change the family dynamic. This change in family dynamic could cause resentment in Riley towards one parent or she could feel over whelmed and frustrated and not develop the same way someone with married parents would. Another issue with her father and I not being married is that one parent may spend less time with the child which could negatively affect development by only getting support and care from one care giver. This lack of support and care according to the Psychoanalytic theory by Erik Erikson could cause her to not trust others or she may apply it to the working model and not trust the world (Berger,
