Theme is the central idea or the moral of a story. Therefore, in “Rikki-Tikki-Tavi” by Rudyard Kipling, the theme is obviously good triumphs over evil. To explain, Rikki is great-hearted because he is considerate and listens to the animals, whereas the cobras are as wicked as a witch. They are also immensely selfish because they want the garden all to themselves. Rikki’s relationship with the cobras help guide us to understand the theme of good prevailing evil. I can understand why some people might imagine the theme is that jealousy leads to negative outcomes, however, I will prove that this theme is exceedingly lesser than mine.
