Abstract
This paper examines the controversial topic of the right to bear arms under the second amendment in the Constitution. This paper includes why people feel it is unconstitutional, while also looking at a way to possibly solve the issue. Court cases have been listed, examples, and even a current controversy is talked about in this paper to give an example and a feel to how people see it unconstitutional. It also examines an outer look on comparing this issue with other key issues as well.

Whitney’s argument is also debatable because first of all, as I have already also discussed early in the paper, if you were to provide some major gun control, which we have already not only seen the Supreme Court rule against a ban, causing them to lift a ban that had been enacted in D.C but also what about citizens who are able to obtain a weapon? Citizens, who cannot get one, can very easily grab one from a citizen who is legally able to obtain one. If an individual had to take some sort of mental exam prior to taking one, what would you do? States are sending mentally ill people back into society anyway, resulting in much of an easier accessibility for them to get a weapon as opposed to if they were put in a society. We cannot send these people into jail, because they are already
