The most important thing a rider can bring to the table is safety. Safety starts before you leave your house by first checking your equipment and making sure your trailer is hooked up properly. Watercraft riders should have their head on a swivel constantly surveying the area and stay a safe range from the shoreline. Be aware of all hazards and try to understand the intension other watercraft o the water. Riders should be aware the water depth and only perform freestyle tricks when they have ample water depth they feel comfortable with.

Freestyle and racing of watercraft places high demands on the body and requires a high degree of core strength, agility, balance and muscular endurance. When starting your daily exercise you should always warm up for about 8 to 15 minutes and include a combination of dynamic and static stretching. Your resistance weight training program should last for a length of time anywhere from 40 minutes to just over an hour. The method we prefer is to focus on the eccentric (downward) in a controlled 3 to 6 second tempo, followed buy an explosive controlled concentric (upward) movement in a 1-2 second tempo. Each set should strive to reach between 8 to 12 reps to the point of failure and your partner helping with the last couple reps. Each set should last from 45 to 60 seconds with a rest of similar length. I prefer to use shorter rest during strength training to optimize time and boost cardiovascular
