There are many exercises that you can perform to help you jump higher, faster, and more powerfully. Read on for a list of different exercises that can improve one part of your vertical or every part of your vertical. You can add as many of these to your workout as you want, because they can only help you.

Increasing your vertical jumping speed can be easy if you do it right. Whenever you are focusing on improving your speed make sure you always do the exercise as fast as you can. You are tuning your muscles to use speed, which will help them to become faster moving.

Some vertical jump training workouts require you to use your whole body and swing your arms. Others may only require you to use your legs. Whatever the requirement is, you need to make sure you push yourself and work as hard as you can.

2) On-box jumps are a simple and great way to improve your vertical height. All you have to do is stand on the ground in front of the box and jump onto it. Then, simply step off and jump back on again. You can use your whole body for this jump. The box should be about as high as you can jump or a little shorter. As your leg muscles get stronger you can increase the box height.

Increasing your vertical jump power is different. There usually are not exercises designed specifically to increase jumping power. You can usually do exercises that are designed to increase jumping height like weight lifting. Jumping power is different from jumping height because jumping power enables you to break through a defender in basketball's arms when he is fouling you over the back. Whenever you are trying to increase power you should always push off with your legs as hard as you can.

3) Calf raises can be a great way to increase leg power. Just rest your toes on an elevated platform and leave your heels hanging off. Lift yourself up and go back down. Keep going to build calf
