Rick Grimes Character Analysis

Rick Grimes is a person I want to be because Rick is the cliche “good guy” in the award winning drama the Walking Dead in which he is the protagonist. Rick is stuck in a zombie apocalypse with his family in a group of survivors who help each other in order to survive the harsh conditions of the apocalypse. As the show progresses Rick is constantly being placed in situations where he needs to make decisions that almost certainly will cost people their lives. At first the choices are clear cut, meaning one is the “good path” and one is the “bad path”. But the line between good and evil is blurred as Rick is forced to make heinous decisions for the group. As the morals of the group fade away Rick starts becoming a dictator rather than a leader, and the justification for all his appalling sins is protecting the group. Dark brown wavy hair is his hairstyle with a small stubble as his facial hair, but that begins to gray later in the series due to all the stress he faces. Mid to late thirties would be an appropriate prediction to make for his age considering his age was never specified. For the most part he is wearing a beige and brown sheriff uniform. His signature weapon is the Colt Magnum which he is extremely lethal with. He is good at heart and has the ability to keep calm in stressful life threatening situations which makes him a natural born leader. I have always fantasized of becoming a leader of a group in a zombie apocalypse and Rick Grimes is living that dream of mine. For example the group stumbles upon a stranger, do they offer him a spot in their group although there is a chance he will turn on them or do they kill him and take his supplies? As Rick being the dictator of the group he makes all these decisions and justifies all the “bad” ones as protecting the group. Slowly but surely Rick is turning into a monster that will survive by any
