Richter chooses Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David (p 49-56). She uses these five main characters because each one plays a key role in the redemption story. Adam is important because everything started with him. Without him, nothing would be. Noah is important because God used him to begin again. He destroyed all the evil and wickedness and started again with Noah. Abraham is important because God made a covenant with him to give the land of Canaan back to the Israelites.
