Richard Tsunemi: A Short Story

Decent Essays
It was 5th grade. At the FJH, I had a fried named Richard Tsunemi. We were close, not regulars. We had the same interests and brains. I would help him with math, and he would help me with history. We even had the same best friend.
Over time, he became interested in the cooler guys in football and other sports. I could tell he didn't look at me the same . I didn't mind though, because he never was being mean to me unlike the kid in the back of the class.
One day on the bus, I seemed to be bugging him so he exclaimed, "Stop it!" I stopped, didn't think of it as much, but that's when the neck breaker came, "I've always liked your brother better than you."
My brother didn't even hang out with him AT ALL! The only thing that made him seem better

Seventh grade, my second year now at what I thought to be the worst school in the world. On back to school night I met a man who would change my perspective on life completely, that man being Brandon Lilly. Henry Adams once said “A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops.” At a mere five-foot four he appeared to be a kid minus the burly lumberjack beard that he possessed. I remember being skeptical at first because I had never had a male teacher before.…
