Richard D. Fuerle: The Abolition Of Big Government

Big government in a society like ours is a must. This is because with as many people we have in our country, it can be very, very difficult to control around 300 million people. Professor Mott says ”The protection of life and property ,however, are not the only benefits of having a government. The government also facilitates cooperation between individuals that would not otherwise be possible.” To me that means that the world that we live in today could not be possible without governments like we have today. The governments provide us with the necessary things to survive and in other cases to thrive. Richard D. Fuerle, is one of those people. He believes that if the government cease to exist that this world would not crumble apart. What he believes in is anarchism, the belief in the abolition of all government. Richard says “ to rule over another person means to use force against him.” To me what he is saying means that if you are not supporting anarchism then that mean you support people using force against you in order to have a society or community under a governmental system. Ron Paul believes that congress is drifting more and more away from the constitution because on January 20th 2011, he said “Our Constitution should be viewed as law, and Members of Congress should be expected to follow the rule of law. But a document is just that, and it is only as good as the character of those who represent us and promise to obey it.” He is saying that the members of congress are not always following the constitution like they should be, and that since our country was founded upon the ideals found in the constitution then we should be upholding them in our current government without any and modifications made to it in any …show more content…
Our present day economy is the workings of our government and country as a whole. Not every single person in the country is thinking about the best for the society, but some are doing what is best for themselves as an individual person, because of these people the government puts in place laws and regulation in an attempt to stop these people trying to pretty much rob people blind. One of these companies is Mylan, and they are the sole producers of the life saving device called the EpiPen. The company charges people ,who their lives depend on this device, up to $600 for a device that costs around $30 to produce. Because of this, the government is attempting to help people pay for this device, and in some cases give the device to them for a fraction of the price. Without the government, there would be nobody to stop companies with monopolies from charging whatever they want for products or
