Richard Branson was born in Surrey, England in 1950. His mother and father were both working class parents that wanted the best for their son. Richard struggled desperately with dyslexia that forced him to change schools in his early teens. As the challenges of school continued, Richard finally decided to dropped out of school at the age of sixteen and start a youth-culture magazine called the Student. The magazine, which was launched in 1966, was for students and run by students and sold nearly $8,000 in the first edition.(Branson, 2015)
