Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure to reshape the nose. It’s a surgical challenge for the operating surgeon, because every patient has different nasal anatomy and there is no one ideal nose for every face. Along with that every patient has a different indication for surgery. Moreover, there are varieties of techniques in this procedure and presence of difficulty in foreseeing the long term outcomes of the procedure. The study comprised of thirty patients who came with chief complaint of external deformity of nose, with or without nasal obstruction, of either gender and between 18 to 50 years of age. These patients were randomly selected from the ENT Out-Patient-Department of Ram Lal Eye and ENT Hospital Amritsar. A predetermined selection criteria were applied while recruiting these patients in the study and an informed consent was obtained. Complete internal and external examination of nose was performed. 0 degree endoscope was used to analyse the posterior nasal septum for bony deviations. Patients were subjected to pre-operative photography as per Institute of Medical Illustrators National Guidelines 2006. All the patients were requested to fill the pre-operative ROE and NOSE questionnaires. A complete ear nose and throat examination was performed besides a thorough general physical examination. The patients also underwent relevant clinical, radiological and laboratory tests. Pre-anaesthetic check-up was done to ascertain the fitness for the general anaesthesia. Closed rhinoplasty or rhino-septoplasty was performed in all the cases and septal deformities and external deformity was corrected. One patient had saddling involving both the bony and the cartilaginous parts of the nasal dorsum. This patient had history of septal abcess formation with a subsequent surgery to drain the same. Nearly one-fourth patients presented with broad dorsum and 13.33% with alar asymmetry and 10% patients had supra-tip depression. In this study, most common combination of deformities was deviation of dorsum and tip deformity in majority of the patients. Approximately half of the patients presented with combination of deviation of dorsum and hump. Next most common combination was deviation of dorsum, tip deformity and hump together in 46.66%
