Upon completing all the assignments for Writing 101, I think I have undergone a significant amount of growth as a writer. Throughout the course there were many different assignments that I found to be challenging in their own ways. The design of many projects was much different than anything I had previously encountered, causing much more effort, and thought. Specifically, the rhetorical analysis and the proposal were two projects that took me outside of my comfort zone. Each project encompassed its distinct difficulties that ended up evolving my knowledge about writing. The rhetorical analysis was the most complex piece of writing I have ever completed. For this project, I began with reading the recommended text about rhetorical analysis’s.

Pursuing a degree in biology that will eventually be used for physician’s assistant school will require versatility in writing. Learning to write an analysis of any form will be beneficial in my future studies. For example, I may have to read a lab report or study and be instructed to analyze it. With the knowledge and experience I have gathered, I will know to inquire about each section and be prepared to organize my analysis. Analyzing medicine, biology, tests, and studies are all huge parts of biology and medicine. An analysis does not have to be written either. If I am trying to diagnose a patient, I will essentially be analyzing the physiological state of their body. I will then be expected to provide patients with a verbal analysis of what is wrong with them. Interpretation and representation will surely be used in my future endeavors. Proposals may also enter my life while studying biology or practicing as a medical professional. Physician’s assistants can work independently or in a hospital. Either way, proposals may arise when attempting to change the way things are run. For example, if I were to be working in a hospital in the emergency room and it was always backed up I could make a proposal. Whether that be a proposal for more machines or more staff members I will know that there are multiple aspects to examine and different people to communicate with. Feeling comfortable in writing a proposal will help in my probable line of
