Rhetorical Analysis On Steve Jobs

Steve Jobs, in his commencement speech to Stanford, You’ve got to find what you love, ‘Jobs says, argues that following what you love will lead you to triumph through adversity. He develops his claim first by telling a series of story that emphasizes his intuition. Jobs dropped out of college to focus on a passion that lead to opening and running a successful company. The second story tells Jobs being fired from his own company, yet he never stopped pursuing his craft. Jobs would create another successful company to be bought by his former business. His third story spoke of a near-death experience for Jobs. Instead of slowing down, Jobs continued to live his life following what he loved. Ultimately, he persevered through the tribulations and credits his passion as his savior. Jobs’ purpose is to persuade his audience into finding what they love to do.
