The incident had the most deaths in a mass shooting at a grade school or high school in United States history and the second-deadliest mass shooting by a one person in United States history, the 2007 Virginia Tech shootings were first. Then when I read what happened my heart dropped and my stomach began to hurt. The way I interpret this photograph is that a tragedy has taken place at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The sad reality is that a mass shooting has once again occurred but this time at a grade school. Innocent children at the ages of 9 and 10 fatally shot down by a man named Adam Lanza. The reason why I chose this photograph was to bring up the gun control debate. I believe there needs to be stricter gun laws in the United States. There has been many mass shootings in this country and the same message is being delivered. It is time for a change, gun control can save a lot of lives. I am all for multiple background checks and screenings for people who want to buy guns. I don’t see a problem for people to have to wait a little while to receive a firearm; just to make sure the person has no history that would prevent them from obtaining it. Why do people need a fully automatic assault rifle in their home? Are you that fearful for your life to have to carry a weapon of such power? I believe if you are that scared you might want to get law enforcement involved. When my friends tell me their household has 6 or 7 guns with a bunch of ammunition, I ask my are you at war with somebody. There needs to be a limit on what firearms can be concealed. I believe mass shootings will still be fluent if the United States doesn’t
