Jennifer Lawrence apologized yesterday for getting her panties in a bunch over the laughable notion that women should get paid as much as men. The Hunger Games star wrote an essay last week complaining about Hollywood’s gender pay gap but now says her period was probably just making her bitchy.

“You know how us women are when we’re on the rag” said Lawrence “I should really just learn to stay in bed eating ice cream when my monthly friend is visiting. Otherwise i’m liable to run my mouth and forget my place like I did the other day.”

Lawrence implied in the essay that she should have negotiated for the same salary as Bradley Cooper and Christian Bale while working on American Hustle, something she now regrets.
