In Charles Blow’s “Soul Survivor in Trump’s Hell” (2017), he suggests that Trump has created a country that is doomed to struggle and live in the “hell” that is now the U.S.A. Blow introduces that his mother coached him through struggles and made him aware that all struggles end. He then goes on to say that Trump’s presidency can only last a maximum of eight years in attempts to reassure himself and the readers. He exaggerates this statement in order to emphasize the main topic and spread awareness of the panic and chaos Donald Trump is spreading, in the eyes of some.
