people recognize him as an aggressive leader and he is also recognized for the conflicts that he bring to Iraq such as the war with Iran which took 8 years- from 1980 to 1988- resulting in death of thousands and millions of people in both sides, and it is known as "First Persian Gulf War". His speech was well planned and he used pathos and ethos effective enough to send the message that he wanted the people to know. He convinced his army to fight back .However; making his troops to fight back was something suicide because the Iraqi army was not mach to the missile attacks and aircrafts of United State.
