“Is Junk Food Really Cheaper?”: A Rhetorical Analysis. The purpose of the article “Is Junk Food Really Cheaper?” by Mark Bittman, is to persuade us that it costs just as much to eat out as it does to cook. The article is speaking out to many of the American families they eat out frequently. The article speaks about how we use many invalid excuses as to why it’s cheaper to eat junk food, what it costs to make a meal that can feed a family, and why we find “hyperprcocessed” food so addictive. The article “Is Junk Food Really Cheaper?” is an ineffective article because of its underuse of logos leaving many other rhetorical devices standing weak.
