The speech ‘I Have a Dream’ is by Martin Luther King Jr. He gave this speech on August 28th 1963 just outside of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. Martin Luther King Jr, gave this speech to make the american people realize the color of the skin should not matter because everyone in this country is human and the color should not be a motive to judge them but the character of the person should. Meaning the character of the person should matter more than just the color of the skin. This speech, I can relate to because, now in our time there is still a lot of discrimination in this country still and we need to be reminded about this speech and how we are not different from each other. Martin Luther King Jr also says that sons of formers slaves and sons of former slave owners can sit together in the same place in brotherhood. And this is part of his dream that has came true. And he made sure his purpose was heard because he was making everyone in the audience aware of what was happening. For colored people it’s like following a set of rules that are only for them and not for whites. Some tradition that Martin Luther King Jr used are explaining what happen in the past and what is going on in the present and what he wants for the future.
