To me as a reader, this seemed fine reading, but when watching her give this part of the speech it struck as not very genuine and the insult wasn’t as intelligent as her other insults she had thrown out during this speech, but the audience responded so well to the comment of his goofy hat. Maybe she threw that bit into her speech because she knew what the audience was looking for, and her making fun of Trump on a less factual level and more comedic immature level is just what she needed to do. Turning onto a heavier note, she talks about “Donald Trump’s America”. This America, in her opinion, is full of many negatives. After talking about all of the fear and hate Trump has instilled, she ends on a high note. Warren makes a plea, for everyone to come together. She mentions Wall Street many times throughout her speech and she used the phrase “rigged system” multiple times. The reason she spoke at the Democratic National Convention was to give the American people another reason to vote for Hillary. I think if you read more into her speech you can see what she is really passionate about and it’s not Hillary. Hillary becoming President is something she stands by and publicly endorses, but I think Warren’s main focus is controlling Wall Street and giving America back to the people. Throughout Warren’s speech she tries to identify with her audience in showing them that she is angry too, she believes the system is rigged too. After reaching out to the audience as the “janitor’s daughter” and not the Harvard professor nor the Senator, she makes her point: Hillary is the only option. It’s her “personal choice”, and Trump must not become President. It turns into almost a desperate plea to those watching, to turn to Hillary and vote for Hillary. Elizabeth Warren is “with her”, and there is no room in the oval office for Trump and his “goofy
