As you prepare to start college this fall semester,I know that you have many questions about how college looks. In order to help put your I thought I would inform you about your academic journey in CO150. I know what you 're thinking, if I am going to take the time to write my past self a letter, why on earth would I just tell myself about some English class? Well, I think you will find that these skills can be applied to your other classes, which will help you get good grades and ultimately a good career, which we all know is what really matters to you. Throughout the semester you will learn many skills helping you to rhetorically analyze text, create a proposal, write an argumentative essay, and a reflective letter.

You are to find a problem in the realm of ethics in higher education and persuade stakeholders to believe that it is a problem and action needs to be taken against it. You write yours on standardized testing. In order to do the research for this paper, the whole class goes to the library to learn about the different websites, databases, and methods you can use to do your research. You will be able to use these research techniques throughout the rest of your college career. Another skill used in this is that you will need to see the other side 's argument and explain what they fail to take into account. For instance, a quote talks about how standardized tests are based on similar questions and environments. You counter it by saying “While this may be true, as I have previously pointed out it is how the test is set up and the mindset that it puts some students in that makes it so that not everyone is given an equal opportunity.” By being able to look at the points the opposing side is making and counteract them, it will strengthen any other arguments, essays or otherwise, that you may have to participate
