Rhetorical Analysis Of Elon Musk

Elon Musk Rhetorical Analysis CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk, in his speech, “Elon Musk’s Plan To Colonize Mars.”, Capitalizes on the need for an expedition to mars. Musk’s purpose is to illustrate how beneficial the journey would be to science and mankind. He adopts a realistic tone in order to establish the fact that the passage to mars is dangerous but an needed voyage in his International Astronautical Congress. Musk begins his speech by resolving issues surrounding the structural integrity of the rocket. Starting with the main big issue Musk notes, “SpaceX’s Mars rocket would be the largest rocket ever.” meaning this will be the heaviest launch in history. Including this evidence develops his description of the vessel. All recent rockets have not been strong enough to lift the craft off the ground but, “SpaceX recently test fired its Raptor Engine” which is said to have enough strength. Noting the issue of the weight Musk supplies a resolution to the problem.
